Avoid production order

Hi ,

Here's a scenario-

Plant A (real) Plant B (virtual) Plant C (virtual)

Car Doors Rear Glasses

The car is going to move from Plant A to plant B . The car will be assembled with the doors at plant B . Now the assembled car with doors is going to move to plant C .Here the car will be assembled with rear glasses.

The client needs to avoid product costing so no production orders in this case. It does not have a manufacturing base.

So virtual plants has been created where value addition is done on the car as shown above. Requirements for doors & rear glasses should also be thrown up when MRP is run at these virtual plants.

How can I address this in MM ?

    Hi

Some more details required. My understanding:

    1) For the Car w/o doors & rear glasses - MRP is done in A.

    2) For Car with Doors - MRP is run in Plant B. Doors are procured in Plant B. Car w/o doors & rear glasses is obtained from Plant A. Are both the materials valuated ?

    3) For Car with Doors&rear glasses - MRP is run in Plant C. Rear Glasses are procured in Plant C. Car with doors is obtained from Plant B. Are both the materials valuated ?

    4) How are you planning to move goods from Plant A to B to C ? What will you do for valuation differences, if any

You can run MRP in Plant C first. It generates requirement for car with doors & glasses. You shd have a BOM for final car here. It will have two components (car with doors & rear glasses). Car with Doors material master shd have special procurement type 'Stock transfer from B'.

You can do similarly in Plant B also.

    Best regards
