how to start config tool

How can we start config tool and visual adminsitrator for a NW04s installed system.

Hi

Just follow these steps:

Configtool:

Go to c:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<XX>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat you need to click on it.

This is the tool which works even if your instance is down.

JSPM:

This is to apply support packages and kernel in java systems.

c:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<XX>\JSPM\go.bat and click here.

Always login using sid adm into the machine at OS level and then click on go.bat.

Add your patches in c:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in folder.

It asks for your sdm password. proceed.

That's all any query revert back

Config tool can be started as below:

GO TO folder:

\usr\sap\<SYSTEM ID>\JC<xx>\j2ee\configtool

run configtool.bat

select default database settings.

For starting Configtool.bat

1. goto D:\usr\sap\<Inst-ID>\JCxx\j2ee\configtool -->configtoo.bat

ex: D:\usr\sap\J3E\JC01\j2ee\configtool -->configtoo.bat

For Starting Visual Admin

1. Start the Visual Admin Tool;Goto D:\usr\sap\<Inst-ID>\JCxx\j2ee\admin --> go.bat

Example: D:\usr\sap\F04\JC04\j2ee\admin --> go.bat

Hi Shilesh,

Go to USR\SAP\SID\DVEBMGS00\J2EE\JSPM\GO.BAT when you click on this you will a get a gui to proceed further. if it is 04s other wise instead of JSPM YOU HAVE TO USE SDM \usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\SDM\program SDM.BAT FOR 04 OR EVEN YOU CAN USE SAPINST TO DEPLOY

i am not able to start jspm, when i click on go.bat, it is giving the following error..

Hi,

I started JSPM. Actually, my oracle listener has been stopped, because of that, it was not able to connect to the database.

try to start listener.

lsnrctl status --> to get status

lsnrctl start --> to start

lsnrctl stop --> to stop

Hi Sailesh,

You can start the visual administrator from the path \usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<Instance_No>\j2ee\admin\go.bat

This go.bat file opens up the J2EE Visual Administrator for you.

You can start the config tool from the path \usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<Instance_No>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
