Hi SDN's

Can u guide me step by step procuder for to create a new URL to my portal.

I hav seen the forums, sme threads r there. but i didnt get da exact procedure to follow. i just bugged up n at last option i m droping this msg.

plz guys, guide me

Hi Rajesh,

I assume that you want to change the URL you use to access your SAP NetWeaver Portal installation.

The easiest way is to create an HTTP Alias and place it to the corresponding directory the index.html file which redirects you to any URL you want. Find more detailes on HTTP Aliases in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ee/0618d0899001408d821096c85ff8a2/frameset.htm">SAP Library</a>.

A HTTP Alias is only a set of static html-files where you can also use client-side JavaScript. If you want more flexible thing you can use J2EE Application and create Application Alias. Find more information about Application Aliases <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/96/910fcdfe1c384f8e17cf86947794cf/frameset.htm">here</a>.

Hi Rajesh,

Please follow these step to create a new Url Iview:

1)Logon to Ur Portal

2)Navigate to Content Admin --> Portal Content

3)Right click on ur Personal Folder in Portal content (If no ,Create folder)

4)Right Click on ur Folder --->Create --> NEW -> Iview -->(Choose Iview Template and Next) >Choose Iview Type ( URL Iview )>Give Iview Name and ID>Next>

Next.

5)Give any valid Url name

6)Finish.

7)Preview
