ODS activation

Hi Guru's,

We have an issue with ODS activation.The activation tick mark in settings disappears moment we make the activation.what might be the reason.We also need a solution.We know we can do activation in process chains also.But Why it is not possible in settings.?

sometimes due to problems in the front end you might not see the ODS settings - what is your front end SP level ?

hi

go to the sap log on pad..click on upper left corner>you will get 'about sap log on pad'>select this option you can check the release version and patch level..

I think thats the SAP Gui Information...

Please check the support package information in the menu option system ---status ..

In which version are you working presenlty??

If it is BI 7..

your SP level should be 10..

GUI patch level should be 20 or more than 20

see if this goes away by applying patch level 22 or go in for 640 final for your front end ... if you need the GUI - you can download it as part of the sneak preview on SDN for NW2004s where the 640 final GUI is also available..

U mean to say the patch level should be 22 then the ODS activation can occur right?
