Use Transaction code PDSY to access documentation on time and payroll functions and operations.

The modifiers are keys to certain tables to be used in processing payroll data. For example Modif 2 points to Table T510J for constant values for wage types. Suppose you have wage type 1234 called fees. Fees for one subgroup of employees (drivers) is $25 and fees for another subgroup (clericals) is $30.

Use your custom version of rule UMOD to make a decision based on employee subgrouping and set modif 2 = 07 for drivers and 08 for clericals. In T510J you create keys 07 and 08 with wage type 1234 = $25 and $30 respectively.

Write a payroll rule to read T510 and get the value for 1234. Tom
