Transport Question

Hi ,

I have millions of records in production for one ODS. Added few fields to the ODS and its taking lot of time to transport from Q to P, because of these records.

Would like to know if transport in Overwrite mode will skip the setp of updating these newly added fields??

If you know any other way of transporting the ODS, without deleting the data , then please let me know.
