Regarding the variant for the fields on item overview screen of VA01/02/03

I got this weird requirement of arranging these fields in the Item Overview screen based on the order type. The variants for the table control is created. The fields should be arranged as in the variant whenever the user enters in Sales Order Screen for a particular order type. I dont know whether this can be achieved thru some settings in the customizing or some user exit. The variants are saved in the table TCVIEW.

Any help will be very much appreciated and rewarded.

Kind Regards,

    Hi ,

here 2 things u have to look in.

1.Creation of Variants based on the Order type --> which is very simple so i think u can do it .

2.How to call this variant based on the condition---> for me it looks simple but uable to find out exact point where i have to put ? so please discuss with ur FC so he can help u out.

<b> check this documentation for the variant creation in va01 (configuration button , right corner of the TC in VA01) </b>

    Table Settings

Use this function to change the settings of a table control. You can

change the width and position of a column (using drag and drop). You can

save the display at any time as a variant by entering a name and

    choosing 'Create'.

You can use any variant as your personal 'default setting' for the

transation, or call it just for the current transaction. ('current

setting'). The default setting applies from the next time teh list

boxes. If the list box only contains the entry 'Basic setting', you must

first create a display variant. You can also define a new variant as the

default when you create it by selecting the corresponding checkbox. The

display defined in the application program ("Basic setting") can alw

The 'Delete' function allows you to delete any display variant that you

    have already created.

    Step by step instructions:

o Configure the table control as you want it.

o Click the settings button at the top of the table control.

o Enter a name and choose "Create".

o If you want this variant to appear whenever the table control

appears, set the "Use as default setting" option.

o Choose "Save" to close the dialog box.

o If you want to change how existing variants are used, or want to

reactivate the basic setting, choose the corresponding settings from

the list boxes and choose 'Save' to close the dialog box.

As well as user-specific variants, there are also System variants, which

are visible to all userse in the current client (although user-defined

variants, where they exist, override system variants). You can edit them

using the 'Administrator' function (see the help on the relevant
