ODS Key Change

I am loading an ODS on a daily basis. However, my key combination on the ODS includes Fiscal Period and Fiscal Year Variant rather than 0CalDay. Will this still aggregate properly or are there potential issues with this? Thanks

Hi,

If this is ur entry level ODS in BW, then you better include the 0calday as keyfields. ODS is suppose to have item level data.

Assign points if it helps

Thanks for that, it is our entry level. The problem being is that we want to write a start routine which will end up exploding the number of records. If we include CalDay as a key we would have a large set of data which would be redundant. We need to write the logic at this level.

What is the impact of not having 0CalDay as a key and just a data field, my understanding is by including Fiscal Year Variant as part of the key it will roll the data loaded to the correct Fiscal Period is this not correct?

Hi Srini,

Thanks for that. The ODS is a modification of the Inventory Snapshot ODS has defined in the How to Inventory guide. The key fields are:

Material

Plant

Storage Location

Fiscal Period

Fiscal Year Variant

Is this okay?

Hi Niten,

Looks Ok to me. As long as ur requirment is not there on 0calday to report on this ODS it is ok.
