Annual depreciation

Hi experts 😊

I have a problem/question regarding setup of an annual depreciation. I did get all of the right values on the created assets and the depr. area is setup to post annualy but when I do want to test this setup with the standard AFAB transaction I don't get any values. I am puzzled though what should I enter as a posting period and if should setup something additionally in SPRO besides just setting the depr. area to post annually?
