Can SUS be employed without other SRM modules?

Greetings all,

I have a question about SUS (Supplier Self-Service) in which I am not able to find a suitable answer to, and was hoping that someone here would be able to answer.

We currently do not use SRM, but we are looking to do so in the future. We would like to employ a fairly simple use of SUS if at all possible: create PO’s in the R/3 backend that would then be available for the individual suppliers to access via the web (portal). The suppliers would then invoice the company via the web (portal), thus triggering the necessary actions in the backend system. Is it possible to do this without employing other aspects of SRM, such as EBP, CCM, etc? Also, would XI be needed?

My sincerest thanks to all who respond.
