Monitoring SAP Process Integration with SAP Solution Manager

Hello All,

I am looking for some information about relation between Solution Manger 7.1 and SAP PI system

If it is to be found, there will be some more details in the setup wizard of what Solution Manger In Solman_Setup tackles for PI in the individual steps. Below which services on PI (Manage System) are activated from the individual steps from Solman_Setup.

    Hello,

    Thanks for help.

Here is some detail explanation about which component and services Solution manager communicate with in manage system during Solman_setup.

    Activate services:

In this automatic activity, you activate the Service Data Control Center (SDCCN) and the connection test in the managed system.

SM_MANAGED services were activated on managed system

From SICF: Under Service Path, choose /sap/public/ping/.

    Single Sign On Setup:

In this automatic activity, you configure Single Sign-On (SSO) between the SAP Solution Manager system and the managed system. This enables, for example, root cause analysis to access a managed system, or Web services to call a managed system without additional user logon.

The ticket certificates of SolMan Java and ABAP stack have been successfully imported into the Managed ABAP stack

    Database Extractor Setup:

This activity creates the extractors for the DBAcockpit connection. These extractors collect performance metrics for Root Cause Analysis and the Database Performance Warehouse.

    SAPRouter Setup:

This automatic activity creates entries for the managed system in the ADIAGPORTS table, which stores the IP and ports used by a batch job to configure the SAPRouter.

On SAP Service Marketplace, you can then maintain the service connections automatically. This activity is optional if no SAPRouter is configured.

Database infrastructure and extractors set up for /DATABASE

    Extractors Setup:

This automatic activity schedules the extractors used by various applications in SAP Solution Manager, such as root cause analysis. Which extractors are scheduled depends on the technical system type and the assigned product.

The E2E Extractors were succesfully activated for pfo00//58[CI] (pfo00.kmdpfosap.local) (Application Server ABAP)

    Introscope Host Adapter:

This automatic activity sets up the CA Wily Introscope Host Adapter on the Diagnostics Agent, to collect performance metrics, such as operating system level metrics

    On instance : pfo00/DVEBMGS58
Introscope Host Adapter setup finished successfully

    Apply Settings for EWA Monitoring:

This automatic activity shows EarlyWatch Alerts (EWA) in your alert inbox in the Technical Monitoring work center

Directory configuration for managed object ~ABAP ended successfully

    Maintain SAP Router Data

In this manual activity, you maintain SAP router data for your managed system on SAP Service Marketplace to open a service connection if remote maintenance is necessary.

Adjust HTTP Log Parameter:this manual activity, you add an additional parameter to enable the analysis of logs written by Internet Communication Manager (ICM) with end-to-end root cause analysis

    Enable Remote R/3 Connection:

enable a remote R/3 connection from SAP to the managed system

    Enable Remote HTTP Connection:

enable a remote HTTP connection from SAP to the managed syste
