Hello VS,

The receipt for nonstock material will be same as stock material, but PO for nonstock material will be account assigned po.

As Anand said, the material will be directly consumed upon the receipt means when you create purchase order for any non-stock material at that time account assignment will be mandatory during the purchase order. so when you received any material agaist account assigned PO the material will not be available in stock instead it will directly charged to particular cost object i.e. Assets, cost center etc.

Hope this helps.

But if its non-valuated material, will there be an IV; if yes then will it be account assigned; What value we will see in MB52?

Hi VS,

Nonvaluated materials are managed on a quantity basis, but not by value. so no invoice verification.

Hello VS,

Non valuated material UNBW and Nonstock material NLAG both are totally different. Do not get confused in both by mixing it.

Nonstock material will not be available in stock (you can not see it in MMBE)

Nonvaluated material will be available in stock (You can view in MMBE)

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Even if you have UNBW or NLAG...you still need to do MIRO for that...otherwise how you pay your vendor....

Am I correct...?

Pl update me....if I am wrong.

Hello Dipak,

That's correct. Nonstock or nonvaluated terms are used withing our organization it has nothing to do with vendor, so if you want to pay, you need to create invoice.

Sumit,

NLAG itself represent for non-stock material so that will not be managed on quantity base (just receipt only), but UNBW material you can managed on quanitty base.

Hi

NLAG stands for "Non Stock Material" and not "Non Valuated Material". UNBW stands for "Non Valuated Material".

NLAG materials are not managed on an Inventory basis. They may be physically available in stock but are not managed on a Quanitative Basis. For e.g. It is not worth while to physically count the number of papers received and hence it is managed as a NLAG material.

However, you will have to pay the Vendor for the paper, so MIRO has to be done.

Hope this clarifies.

Thanks
