Change Action Menu

I've created an action menu. We'll call it Z1, but PA40 doesn't recognize my actions. I've created the user group dependency for Ref. 99, set my UGR to 99, but it doesn't pick up.

Hi there. Have you added your action to the menu itself? Go to this link in the IMG (transaction SPRO):

Personnel management -> Personnel administration -> Customizing procedures -> Actions -> Change action menu

First check that your user group dependency is listed there. Then go back and select the required menu. On the next screen make sure that your action is listed in that menu. If not, create a new entry in that table for your action, giving it the next number in the sequence. I hope this helps.

In the IMG under the "Actions" heading (the path I mentioned before), try going to "Set up personnel actions". Then choose "Personnel action types". Make sure that your action is in that table. Also, check which of the menus you added your action to. If you added your action to menu 01 (events), then it should show up when you go to the main screen for PA40. If you added it to menu 02 (fast entry), then from the main PA40 screen go up to the top under "HR Master Data" and select either "fast entry" or "fast entry for actions". Please reply if you're still having problems.
