Comments for Integrated planning via Analysis for office 2.4

Dear SAP Community,

I wonder if I could get some help, because I'm facing a problem in a project.

In fact, we are actually in project, the aim is to develop a budget application, SAP BI using Integrated planing, Input Ready Queries created using SAP BEX. We are using Analysis for office 2.4.

SAP BW Version is 7.31 sp5.

The problem is that the client want to have the possibility to input comments for cells, directly using Analysis for office, and not web application.

Could someone has any suggestions please?

We also have the same requirement. And I wanted to understand if there is a possibility for our set up here.

Ours is a BI-BCS system and we have activated the Analysis for office 2.4. May i know if the possibility of inserting comments in a report / Query,.

Hi Tammy, thank your for your response.

Concerning your questions, Yes we have the version of BI Platform that is required (4.2 SP3).

Also, thank you for the screenshot about the BI Commentary application. I have just to contact Basis admin, so that I can do the necessary settings.

I will keep you informed after applying settings and testing.

Hi Mejdi - a couple of questions:

1. is the Analysis add-on installed on BI Platform?

2. If #1 is true, and the add-on is installed, does your version of the BI platform match what is stated in the PAM (product availability matrix)? See https://support.sap.com/content/dam/library/ssp/infopages/pam-essentials/SBOP_Analysis_MS_24.pdf

Actually, the Comments functionality is available with Analysis for office 2.4 :

This button let users to save comments in the BI Launchpad.

The problem with this method, in my case, is that when I try to save comments, I get the following error message :

Any idea please ?

Hi Mejdi - I am not using this feature, but depending on how you want to use it, it looks like it is "planned" - see below:
