Every type of text-file possible?!

Hi,

i have to answer a client question in which they want to know if XI can write in every text file they want to?!

This means csv / text / XML / whatever.....

Is it possible to write as long strings as output as the want to?!

Is everything possible in this case?! Can we also put a structure in the ouput-format of the target text file?!

yes. It can create any file. but there is a catch to the statement. Say in case you want to create a excel file as the output or a pdf as the output, in that case you would have to write a module in the receiver adapter to generate the same

    eg. to create a pdf - /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/07/27/xi-generate-pdf-file-out-of-file-adapter

      Hi Jens,

Do multi-mapping ......configure one scenario in XI.......take IDOC as input and generate multiple files for multiple segments in that one scenario only - this can be done in XI.......

      Thanks,
