SAP BI 4.2 SP3: full object list for univserse documentation on "BI on BI"

Hi all!

Currently, I have to create a documentation on new universes working with SAP BO 4.2 SP3.

As I heard of 4.2 SP3 giving access to it's metadata with "BI platform CMS System database" universe, I thought about getting all data needed for doc using this universe,

I tried a bit a got Information like "creation date", "update date" and list of webi reports using my universe - but a full list of object and their properties is missing.

Does somebody have an idea on how to get this list?

you achieve it by using Java SDK or REST SDK of BI Semantic Layer.

In order to create the documentation of the universe, you need to use universe documentation tool which provides complete metadata associated with each universe (.unv). Refer here http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=59650&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=270

BIP CMS system database can give you only the high level metadata of the universe not at at the granular level.
