Possible Retro active date in Payroll control record

Former Member

Hello All,

How can I change the Earliest retro active period in payroll control record. In PA03 this date is only for display, we can not change from here. We want to change from todays date to a past date. example: from 12/30/2006 to 01/01/2003.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Sasi.

I think you have to delete that Record in PA03 & create a new one & enter the Earliest retro acctg for the new record.

Dear Sasi,

First u have to note this point in the matter of Retro active accounting.

Point: The Earliest retro active accounting (ERA) for an employee is Either his Joining date or The ERA defined in Payroll Area's control record.

U can change the ERA in control record using transaction PA03.

If its not allowing then i have some queries & some points as given below.(this may lead to solving the issue )

1. Do u have the authorization to do it?plz check?

2.Are you trying to put a an old date as ERA which is prior to the date of Defenition of CO (controlling Area of FI )?check this.

3.Is that date what u r trying to give is prior to the defenition of Company Code?

As per functionality u can change yr ERA with transaction PA03 .

U check the likewise conditions what i presented as questions above ok. U will be able to solve issue.

Let me know the out come.

Regards

Yeah Suresh, it cannot be done without deleting the old one and recreating a new one in PA03.

Sasi you can delete the PAyroll Control Record in PA03 and creat a new one.

Amit
