Hi,

Why dont you can make use of Tracking No field as there is report even available to search PR via tracking no field.

But it is a text field.

Hi

The department no would be required in PR if the item is requested by a particular department.

This means that once the item is recd, it would directly go that dept and not into stock. So, you should be using Acc ass Category "K" for this purpose. Then you can enter the Dept No (Cost Center) in the Item detail. This is a F4 field.

This is the reason why there is no seperate Dept no filed for a Std PR.

Hope this clarifies.

Thanks

Hi Rahul

Last time when I need this kind of requirement, we created a new field in PR.

It is not too difficult for an ABAPer to do this.

Best regards
