To Download DBF File

We need to download the data as DBF file.Presently we are using a function module GUI_DOWNLOAD. But this accepts only binary and ascii files.but as stated our requirement is to generate a DBF file.I want to know if GUI_DOWNLOAD has the capabilities for DBF file or not. Is there any other FM for the same? We have WS_DOWNLOAD to suffice the requirement, but this is not recommended to go forward.

Hi!

I've checked the source code of GUI_DOWNLOAD in SE37, and it is handling DBF, so you can use it for your download. WS_DOWNLOAD doesn't know this filetype.
