Support....

Hi,

Could anybody tell me the real time working in support???? Also suppose one ticket comes and i have configured the system to solve that ticket and it fails in the production server, then how cud me delete the same so that there should not be inconsistency in the working of production server.

    Thanks every body for giving me helpful answers, further i have very doubts in very basic thing. If possible tell me how exactly the whole team works for configuration of the system?

    Like suppose we customize components in dev server then transport request is generated then further wat exactly happens? who transport it to testing server & production server and how? Is there any scope of SPRO (customization) in production server?

    Hope i'll get the answers in detail.

      Hi Aakansha,

      Once u have tested the scenarios in dev server. U can do the same settings in Dev 100 server (Gold client) .It will generate transport requests. Note down them and release those request by using tcode se10. Then inform your basis team to move those request to Quality or Prodn based on your need. This will move the settings to the mentioned server. We must not do any direct config in Prodn server.

    Hi Aakansha,

    Have u tested the same case in Dev and Quality server? You need to check whether it works properly in testing server before moving those requests to Production. This is how it should be. Also check whether the data in Quality is almost same as that of Prodn. Thus u can ensure that if it works in Quality it will work in Prodn server.

      Your config data should be always in sync between ur dev. , Quality and Prod server ...If any thig you want test for knowledge shake ....you can test the same in IDEAS server .....

      Any config. you need to do that in Golder Client , then you that in Prod. server .

    Hi,

    After generating a transport request you can do the testing in development client & request basis consultant to transport in to Quality.Again you have to test in quality & after testing in QA you have to request to Basis again to transport in to Production.

    We have to follow the same sequence for all changes.

    Hi,

    In Support you solve the tickets first in development server then it is transported to quality server where it is tested and then you transport it to production server.The end user fron client end tests it and informs you whether the issue is solved or not. There may be a series of approval required from client end before it is transported to production server.In case the issue is not solved in production server you check for the differences in config of development server and production server and try to rectify the same.

    You can issue a transport of previous config to prodn server in case you want to return to the same state in production server

    y there is need of conf. in DEV100 server again if we have already done it with dev server?

    Is it always mandatory to perform the configuration in Dev 100 always?
