Prevent serial auto selection on Delivery

Hello Community,

I'm trying to prevent the auto selection of serial numbers when bin location is selected on the Delivery Note. Customer needs to have the Primary Issue by Bin Location because they don't want to select the serial first when doing the Pick and Pack. They need to just auto allocate the bin location when creating the Pick List, but when delivering the items they want the system to ask for a serial instead of auto select it.

How this could be accomplish?

Any suggestions are very welcome.

There's an option under Document Settings > Stock Transfer / Delivery. At the bottom of the page - "Open Serial/Batch Selection for Auto. Allocated Items Issued Primarily by Bin Location". When adding a Delivery Note or Stock Transfer, the Allocation screen will display even though it has auto selected them, so you can reallocate the serial/batches.

We have the same problem. Is that really the intended way of the system to work? Has anyone found a solution to force manual selection of serial numbers at delivery when bin location is set to be primary?

I am having the same issue. I want to force the user who is doing the delivery to manually select the serial numbers.

Hi Rodney,

Under General settings--> Inventory Tab--> Issue primarily By --> option to Bin Locations.

Hi Belaji,

I already have the "Issue Primary By" configure to be "Bin Location" and this is the way the customer need it. This is not the situation, the situation is that serial numbers are automatically selected when the Bin Location is primary selected.

Customer needs to select the serial number manually based on what the picker took on the Delivery Note and NOT to have it automatically selected by the system.

Hope this can clarify the real situation.
