Wage Type Valuation Module

If we are NOT using any indirect valuation modules like PRZNT,

TARIF for the Basic Pay wagetype, can we leave it blank in T511? In other words, as we are using direct valuation module, we can leave the fields blank in Indirect Valuation Module box in Wage Type Characteristics (T511)?

We are using T710 for salary structure and the amount of pay is

always entered directly within the Pay Grades and Levels as

defined in IT1005. Of course, we want to calculate the annual

salary automatically when the wage type amount is entered or

vice versa.

Hi

If you are using the direct valuation then no need to define there .

It will not effect anything and when you are creating report then you have to be cautious how to pick the values as it will not reflect in the Pa0008 as it is direct input you have to capture as it is from the infotype record.

Only thing you have ot do every time you maintain the infotype ex You are maintaining car and conveyance and you have to give input in It0008 manaully, it will not give the indirect values.

So, if we are leaving Indirect Valuation field/box as blank for Basic pay wage type, can't we use indirect valuation for other wage types which depend on basic pay? For Bonus or Conveyane wage types which depends on Basic pay, we should be able to use indirect valuation module, right?

Correct , that all you are doing in Wage type so if u did in wage type then it will behave as indirect valuation.

Hi Manoj,

I did not get your message fully. Could you please eloborate? Also, if we are are not able to get the wage type amounts in PA0008 by SE16, how do we get the figures for reporting purpose?

My requirement is that for Basic pay wage types, I dont want to use Indirect Valuation but for other wage types for Bonus, Shift premium, etc, I need to use Indirect valuation as it depends on basic pay.

Hi

As per requirement .

Direct valuation You can get the figures from Pa0008.

Indirect Valuation , You have to pick it from other Standard tables .

For direct I think You are clear.

For Indirect .

Ex Medical.

You are putting Medical as Indirect Valuation then you have to pick up from T510 table you cannot pick the values from It0008.
