logical databases for SAP HANA

I wonder is it still valid to work with Logical Databases on SAP S/4 HANA ?

The SAP standart report RVKRED09 is using logical database KMV

And this report exists on S/4 system

Is it possible to change the RVKRED09 to CDS views or AMDP structures, etc?

Hi ERALPER,

logical databases have been obsolete for quite some time ( https://help.sap.com/doc/abapdocu_750_index_htm/7.50/en-US/index.htm ) and that doesn't change with S/4HANA.

So: no, you should not use them.

If they are still used in standard reports that’s fine I guess, it's probably part of the compatibility scope (usage rights only until 2025).

I thought I could replace the logical database structure for performance and improving code quality.

But it seems to be a lot of task to replace the LDB structure

So I'll keep it since it is used by standard SAP reports,
