Announcement/news iview for a role

Hi ,

I would like to have an announcements iview within a custom role.

I had initially thought of using the announcements available in Collaboration

rooms , but that cannot be used here because the parameters have to be

mapped for the room , which does not seem possible here (or can it be used ???? )

XML forms is a good option, but I would like a simpler way,

something similar to the announcement section in rooms where user

can add announcements easily . Could someone suggest a good option.

Help would be very much appreciated

    Hello everyone,

I have tried with the standard authoring iview provided by SAP itself.

But this is also similar to Xml forms , isnt it? The only thing seems to be

it is a ready made solution rather than having to create a new form ,

Am I right on this ?

Regulating access on this can also be hopefully done with permissions.

Could someone pls confirm on these questions.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks and Regards

I seem to be the only person replying to this thread 😊

Anyway, here goes one more question related to xml forms.

I created a new form using xml forms and created an iview on the

portal. The only problem is that it shows new FAQ, new SAP Demo

News along with my own form .Tried making some changes in

Form Availability settings based on the help links, but no luck.

I added my path as document path (not /documents/news)and form to include

as my new form and excluded SAP_*, but those links still persist. Have I missed anything ?

Hope somebody can help me out on this. If possible my queries in the

prevoius post too. Any help would be very much welcome.
