Hi all

We are currently working on the MAM2.5. First we were using Symbol pocket PC with WM5 build 14402.1.1.0 i which the MI was working fine. We have a new device now with WM5 AKU 3.5 latest version of OS. In this the MI is behaving bit weared. Where ever push buttons are there we need to double click to activate. For instance the login page the Logon button should be clicked twice like a double click to login to MI. This only happens with MI. We tried in different web pages like google, the push buttons are working fine with a single click. Is there any patch to be installed?? Please let me know.

Thanks

Raj

Hi Raj

Weird Problem!!! Well although AKU3.5 is the latest release of Windows Mobile 5 OS, do you have any idea whether it affects the behaviour of IE on mobile devices in anyway especially the support for JavaScript (I couldn’t find any info about this in the net). Why I ask this query is that, starting SP18 MI incorporated JavaScript in the entire JSP UI for all events like Button Click, Links and so on. Every button click now goes thru a series of JavaScript to prevent problems like multiple clicks at the same time and so on. If you are using MI Client 2.5 SP18 and later, can you please try installing MI Client 2.5 SP17 Patch 00 which contains no JavaScript on your new mobile device and check if the single click on the logon button(or any other button)is enough or still a double click on the same button is required. Do let me know if you require further details and hope this info is helpful in finding a concrete solution.

Hi Sivakumar

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it seems to be weired.

Since we have Netweaver 2004s, we use MI 7 SP 10 Patch1. But we tried installing the basic version MI2.5 SP13 for testing purpose and the buttons are working fine with single click. We also updated patch 3 for MI 7 SP 10, but still we face the same problem.

I forgot to tell last time, One another weired thing in this is, in the sync page where we have to give the sync password the "OK" and "Change Password" buttons work fine with a single click. But the buttons in the login page, settings page, extended settings goes only for double click. Do you have any suggestions??

Thanks

Hi Raj

So you are on MI 7.0!!!. I didnt get it right from you when i posted my previous reply and asked you to use SP17. Anyway since you have mentioned that on MI2.5 SP13 everything works fine(single click) and also in the current version, the buttons on sync page works with single click, i suspect the culprit here could be the support for JavaScript in AKU 3.5. Did you get any specification of AKU3.5 which mentiones the behaviour of JavaScript on the IE of this version??? Going forward, the only possible way of solving this problem is to disable JavaScript on the Client. Since there is no configuration parameter that can help you do this at the moment, the only way out is to raise a ticket and send it across to SAP Support and we would then provide you a solution to this problem with the release of a official patch probably on SP10.
