Hi,
I am following "How to Transport XI Content Using CMS", managed to install the CMS and finished up to 57th point. As per the general SLD preparations, i need to create BS Groups, what my doubt is?
a) while creating a group for DEV, I have assigned the Integration Server of DEV from the drop down box. To create a group for QAS, does i need to assign IS of DEV or QAS? If it is IS of QAS, which is not available in the dropdown box. I am stuck up without any clue? plz help me!
b) If any body is having the "How to Configure Groups and Transport Targets" document, plz forward it vizee2002@yahoo.co.in or else give me the link. I have searched for this document in the Market Place but cldn't find out.
regards
Hi,
See It depends upon your landscape..
If you want to transfer the Dev to Quality..
--The basis team should create the all respective track..
--After activating your Objects in IR ,ID you will get another option in change list there you have to rclick and click on transport automatically transfered to QA..
The other way is through file you can transfer..export ,import... options..
-- this is you have to export the objects by SWCV or namesapce wise .. the all object will be stored under one path in server .. next you have to prepare the excel sheet you objects ..then the basis team will transfer the tpz file to qa and there it will be imported..
Please see the CMS transfer links..

Chilla..
you need to have group of QAS point to QAS server so to do that you should have configured the QAS in SLD of DEV.
once you configure QAS server then you get the option then you can select it

Hi,
Please read Just above link..then you can get how to do ..what to do..
I hope there is no need to create TS , with the type of WEBAS ABAP????????
see
Replicate Technical Systems and Business SystemsTo transport business scenarios, you need to create the business system groups and
transport targets mentioned below. This requires that the referenced business systems
and technical systems exist in the SLD.
This enables the source business system to be mapped to the target business system
when a business scenario is imported. Sender system (DEV) is mapped to sender
system (CONS), for example.
For technical systems, you can use either the SLD bridge or a file-based import or export
procedure. You can use only the file-based import or export procedure for business
systems.
Please let me know if i am wrong.....

Chilla..
once you have TS created then create a BS for the same BS role should be intergation server bnot application system and in pipe line url http://server:port/sap/xi/engine?type=entry

HI,
First check your Pipeline URL in SLD.
Business System ->Click On -> Pipe Line URL
It should be
http://Server:port/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Second, Go to SICF Transaction in XI, and activate the service sap/xi/engine
