MM Module Usage Analysis

Good day!

I am trying to figure out how best I can monitor my SAP system usage and benefits recovered. I am carrying out an analysis to determine the usage of the system by my users.

I am looking for standard reports that can meet following requirements:

1. How many materials were created in a period and how many of them have ever been used in any MM transactions. Requirement is to eliminate those materials which have never been used since their creation date.

2. No of duplicate materials based on short text

3. Total no of PR/PO created with material code v/s those created as short text . This is to analyze the usage of material master in PR and to curb the free text PR PO practise.

For 1 + 2 is not standard report, you have to use SE16N or SQVI to do a table analysis on MARA and MAKT

Re. 3 you can achieve it for POs only with LIS transaction MC$G and run it once for material number equal blank and once for material number not equal blank.Number of PO items is one of the values which can be added to the report with F6

Till now, There is no way to make it with a single transaction. You may need to take those all requirements from different different transaction and tables.
