BI Administration Cockpit

Hi everybody,

I want to ask about BW Statistic in 2004s.

Currently I am working on 2004s since upgrade in December.

I did't realize that InfoCubes for statistics are obsolete in of NW 2004s: 0BWTC_C02 and 0BWTC_C03. Usually I use 0BWTC_C02 and replaced by

0TCT_C02, 0TCT_VC02 and 0TCT_MC02.

Please correct me if I'm wrong :

"I must install BI Administration Cockpit to see this statistic in portal which uses SAP NetWeaver 2004s Portal (EP 7.0?)"

My question is, can I set up this new statistics without installing BI Administration Cockpit? Because I'm still working in EP 6.0.

Hi Herry,

In my opinion SAP is quite inconsistent in the way it approached to BI Statistics upgrade in 7.0. I mean it introduced some new cubes, process chains to collect the data and the same time invalidated some of the previous cubes, but some of 3.5 cubes can still be used... Mess, mess, mess....

Anyhow, you can still activate BI 7 techncial content with activating the role SAP_BW_BI_ADMINISTRATOR, or - if you have relevant SPS - just run the program as described in the Note 965386.

Hi,

We also couldn´t get the administrator cockpit to run. So we builded our own.

But now:

There is a major upgrade of the technical content within SP 10 (officially SP11).

So install 7.03 SP4 and SP10 or higher an you get about 25 cubes.

Back to discussion, I'm already in the middle of decision to install BI Content 7.03 SP4 or not (currently in SP2 and note says that I must install SP4, is it correct?)

because our basis team say that it's risky install SP4.

Any of you can explain to me?

Hi Herry,

Please check the note 934848 to set up the BI Administration Cockpit. Incase you want to check only runtime statistics you can monitor the same using TX: ST03N.

I'm already check this notes that you give to me, so first I must follow step 1 (Active the new technical content in SAP Netweaver BI) to step 5 (Activate direct access for virtual providers) and next for step 6 (Connect BI system and portal) to the rest step is optional for me as I want to monitor it via ST03N?
