Copying Actual data to Plan (T-Code KP98)

Hi Guys,

I am Copying actual data posted in 'X' cost center with version '0' to 'Y' cost center with version '1' through t-code KP98.

While copying I am selecting only Primary costs and Activity quantities.

I am able to execute the transaction witout any errors and it is giving a log that 'X' no. of records are copied, which is perfect.

But the problem is when I verify data in target cost center i.e. in 'Y' cost center it is showing some different values.

The target values are not reconciling with source values. It is copying activity quantities perfectly but actual costs it is giving some wrong values. I don't know from where it is getting those values.

Can any one help me in this?

When you copy actual cost to plan using t code KP98, onl prime entries on the cost center gets copied. In other words, if you have executed distribution / assessment, then the cost allocated will not get copied. Only original entries are copied. In your case, check for such allocations.

I copied only primary costs. I haven't executed any distributions/assessments for that cost center.

Have you done any repostings? Also ensure at the time of copying that radio button Rest & overwrite is selected.

Hi

You can't transfer actual of one cost center to plan values of another cost center using KP98. You can transfer actual of the same cost center to plan for the same cost center for different period.

You can transfer plan of one cost center to plan of another cost center through KP97.

Even when I am copying to the same cost center for different period it is giving same problem.

Even i am facing the same issue Copied Actual  of same cost center to Plan of same Cost centers.

But periods are same.

I am not getting any error in KP98 , but when i verify the version of cost center I don't see any results.

Please suggest how did you resolved the issue.
