OData provisioning in PO

Few generic questions regarding OData provisioning in PO accessing the IW_BEP services and registering services from igwj/Admin.

1) Is it helpful when PO is already installed in the system and gateway server is not there. So, PO can be leveraged to publish the service without spending money on gateway server?

2) OData services anyway can be accessed through Odata Adapter as we access standard HRSFI_QUALIFICATION_SRV for SFSF LMS integration. So can't we simply create one REST/SOAP to OData scenario if our requirement is just to expose the service in the internet?

Please clarify with valuable answers.

    Hello Apu,

You are right, as of the release of SAP Process Orchestration 7.31 SP13 respectively SAP Process Orchestration 7.40 SP08 one has the additional option to expose SAP Gateway services out of the SAP backend systems as OData services directly from the PO server:

Exposing Back-End Data as OData Services

    Best regards
