permission setting in DTR

Hi Experts,

I am working on setting up the permissions for JDI users.

I followed the Note 840523

and set the user NWDI.Dev with role NWDI.Developer which has the actions CBS.Developer, CMS.Display, CMS.Export and LcrInstanceWriterNR

Now when I am able to login to the NWDS using the NWDI.DEV user and am able work fine.

But I when I log into DTR as a web folder, I could browse through the repository folders and it also enables me to delete folder & as an Admin I do not want the developer to to delete these folders.

Can anyone provide me a step-by-step approach to disbale this feature of adding or deleting folder in DTR when you access as a web folder.

Thanks in advance

regards

-Lekha

    Hi Lekha,

I presume that you have also followed point 5 of the note 840523?

As far as I know there is no special privilege regarding creation/deletion of folders. However, there is a large section on ACLs in the SAPHelpPortal:

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/c9/d94388f62c8f478eadd4d1902d7101/frameset.htm

Maybe you can find a combination of privileges that fits your needs. There is also a nice DTR admin plugin in the NWDS that allows to manage ACLs (also described in the help).

    regards

    Hi Lekha,

this Howto-Guide should give you the answers needed.

In fact, the DTR access is not controled via the UME, but via ACLs that are defined in the DTR.
