Hello Community!
In SD, when a item from a quotation (QT) is referenced on a sales order (OR), and there is still a partial open quantity remaining on the QT, it is possible to reduce the QT item quantity to less than the quantity that has already been referenced on the sales order. A warning is given (V1495 [qty] already referenced), which is nice, but the users just blow through this message, and I know I cannot make this warning message into an error. Then, after saving, the quantity field is now no longer modifiable, and we've painted ourselves into a corner.
I would like to either:
1. Change this behavior so that the field remains modifiable (as with doc type OR when the quantity is reduced below the delivery quantity), or...
2. Find a system message, like V4083 for sales order items, that I can apply to the QT document/items and make it an error when users reduce the quantity to less than what has already been referenced. (If there is a place to assign messages to doc types or item categories or something, I could not find it.)
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Firstly just want to know why users are changing the quotation qty once after taking reference?(May i know the business reasons-If any)
It is clearly visible that you are aware, how a message can be modified from warning to error(Based on message number)
in OVAH-some of the messages numbers has been given by Standard SAP-But not all message numbers.
If needed you need to take this error message number V1495 & convert to error with Access key & Abaper's help.
Hope this helps.
