Former Member

Hi ,

When activating a DSO / ODS request in BI7 - I get an error message : Error when assigning SIG : Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table 0ORG_DOC_YR.

Followed by Fiscal year variant K1 is not maintained for year 0001.

I can try reactivating the DSO - but is there anything I should do to avoid getting this error on the next run.

Will assign points

Thanks -

Frances

Some Sanity Checks for ODS activation problems -

1)Transaction RSRV ,check the activation program for the ODS

if get Red, then correct it and try the activation again.

RSRV>All elementary Test>ODS Objects-->

"Check the status of the Generated Program of a datastore object" drop on the right, inset you ODS techincal name, press execute. if error occurs, then press correct error.

Now continue activation of the ODS requests

2)RSKC- Allow special characters

can use ALL_CAPITAL

3)Se38-->RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL

can use this program for checking the charecteristics Infoobject consistency.

4)Make sure you have loaded Master data infoobject loaded before transaction data and that Attribute/Hierarchy change run carried out

5)OSS Note:862701 - 0FI_GL_4: Error in activation in the ODS.

6) Note:638372 - 0FI_GL_4: Error during activation in the ODS

Hope it Helps

Hi Chetan, Thanks for the help. I checked the notes and these are relevant for release 2004....

We are running BI release 2005_1_700.

Do you know if either of these are applicable and if not, if there is another note that is relevant for our use.

Thanks again for the help.

when BI 7.0 is unicode compatible, is there still limit to have upper case characters in DSO/ODS?

Hi,

I wonder how you got a record in ODS with Value for year equal to 0001. So take a look on the Document number of that record. you can find that recordno either in detail screen or in job log.

And cross check with respecive source table in R/3. If needed discuss with Functional guy or with the user who has created that record.

If they agree to modify the value in BIW. Modify it in PSA and reupload. To Modify the data in PSA,you need to delte it frist from datatarget.

Hi , Unfortunately, this is historical data so no one really knows how the value got in. Can I change this in the DSO - The request contains 26 mill rows and deleting it in the dso before to changing the value in the psa will take days.

Any ideas

Hi,

I donot think that it os possible to modify the data in NEW table of ODS .

Try this:

In the source sytem tree, from the source sytem(R/3) , Transfer the global settings one more time to BIW. Then activate the down. If this tranferring global settings brings the new record in tha table T009Y for this 0001 year, then your activation will be sucessful.

Frances,

If that is the case update the record through ABAP Program using UPDATE statement in New Table.

wait for others comments also.

all the best.

Frances,

Anil made valid point...

1. try loading Global Setting (all the fiscal Years from Source System).

2. if you still get an error, go and create one entry in T009Y table for fiscal year 2001. and try again. this should work.

3. if you still get an error, Update the Record using ABAP Program using REQUEST NUMBER, datapackge and record numer as key in the new table.

all the best.

Nagesh ,

Thanks- what does table T009Y do ? I have checked the table. It has just 1 entry for 1994. Have tried creating an entry for 001 - and that was successful.

However I am unsure if this will affect other things in the BI setup.
