Crystal Reports Xi R2 SP6 - Issue with latest build of Outlook

crystal.pngHi,

I appreciate that this is no longer supported software but is there any scope for Support for this following issue as we are still paying thousands of pounds pa for licenses.

Upgrading to Version 1703 (Build 7967.2139) of Outlook causes crystall dll errors on exporting to pdf. this still works ok with Version 1702 (Build 7870.2038)

Thanks

Neil

Not from SAP support. I'm not sure how it is possible that you still pay for this product licenses, it has been out of support for many years now.

Microsoft in Office 2010, I believe, updated their MAPI export dll to an Extended API set of instructions which we had to update our export to MAPI API set to use their extended version. That causes CR to stop being able to export to MAPI.

I believe Adobe has a Outlook plug-in which also likely uses the Extended API set which again likely will not work.

As Denis noted XI R2 is no longer updated so it will never work. Only option is to use the older version of Office, disable the Adobe plug-in or upgrade CR Designer to a current version.

And that is odd you are still paying for licensing, if you are not Paying SAP then talk to whomever you are paying it to and possibly get your money back.
