Automatic Batch Creation at the time of GR

Hi all,

I have configured automatic batch craetion in GR and same is working in Test client. And transfer the same to Quality but same is not working in quality.

I have checked all IMG object for batch are in sync. and I am clue less now what to do?

Hi Sanjay,

Check whether u have transported those requests in a sequence! If the requests are not transported in the sequence then those requests may not get updated correctly in Quality. So maintain the correct sequence and move the request again to quality.

Dear All,

I have followed all above steps.

All Three client Customizing, Test , and Quality are in sync.

Material is batch managed. When I am creating GR in Quality it is asking to input batch no. However in Test it is creating batch automatically at the time of posting the GR

Any further clue, how can I debug the same.

Hi Sanjay,

Check whether internal batch number assignment is configured in Quality or not. If it is configured then batch number will created automatically.

Hi Sanjay

Suggest you to check again. Most common problem are settings in number ranges:

1) Activate Batch Number Assignment (Txn OMCZ)

2) Internal Batch Number Assignment for Assigned Goods Receipt

3) Internal number range (at client level) --- you mentioned that you checked this

4) User exits for internal no ???--do you have any?check whether enhancement SAPLV01Z is activated by mistake .

Hi Gurus,

I have same issue system is supposed to assisgn batch

automatically at the time of G R but we are entering batch manually

Checked all suggestions from ramki

Is there anything else could cause this problem

Is this issue resolved

I miss here the step Define Batch Creation for Goods Movements that can be found in IMG > Logistics - General > Batch Management > Creation of New Batches > .....

There you define if the batch is created automatically or manual for a certain movement.

01.Do the config comparison for both the clients

02. Check number ranges

03. Check Material Master whether batch management is active or not?

Next check batch management enabled or not in material master.
