I have a report that I have to choose one of seven different types of age groupings (Dtl1-7: each in their own detail of the age dimension). I use a dynamic variable (V1) and input control to choose the age grouping. Then based on that, a second variable (V2) will chose the appropriate detail and I use that as the report field. This works fine for report fields or section. I run into an issue when I try to create and element link based on V2 to control another chart or graph in a report. It will show the total without issue, however if I choose any of the age ranges, my charts and/or graphs go blank.
If I make a variable (V3) of any one of the seven details alone not using the dynamic variable/input control and use that, the element link works fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
