Issue with Japanese Charcters encoding

Hi Experts,

We have an issue with encoding of Japanese characters. Our scenario is IDOC to Flat file, SAP PO7.5. Every record/line in the target file is of 322 characters and Line Feed is at position 323.When we are viewing the data in notepad++ editor, it shows characters are placed at different positions because the space occupied by Chinese and Japanese characters is more than the English characters. But the character count is same 322 and line feed is coming at position 323. But in Hex Editor the length gets increased and it seems each Japanese character is consuming more than one space in hex editor whereas it is consuming only 1 in notepad++.

Can you all help us with this?

Utf-8 charset is used for MessageTransformBean Adapter Module parameter Content type and ISO-8859-1 is used for TextCodepageConversionBean Adapter module parameter charset Value

You can try once with UTF-16.

You can use IDOCXMLToFlat module as well if there is conversion is required in your idoc data except simply converting the idoc to flat file.
