Planning with 2 hierarchy

Hello All,

I have 2 hierarchy first is product & other is location I have to create a layout in the following way could you please tell whether it is possible..

location hierarchy L1 L2 L3 L4

product hierarchy

P1 Data input columns

P2

P3

If not the what is the alternative to do planning with 2 hierarchies

Please reply soon.

    I think you can have both as filter and do the data combinations but you cannot put 2 hierarchy together in an layout in SEM-BPS. If I remembered correctly, it is still working with the limitation of single hierarchy that exist in BW 2.x.

    Multiple hierarchy is possible in BI-IP.

    Hi,

    U can take both the hierarchy data as lead colomn and cretae a layout by using all possible combination. For valid combination u can go for characterstics relationship to validate/generate the combination.

    Hi Patil,

    2 Hierarchies in a layout very much possible and doable, get back if you have a problem

    just a suggestion check the number of rows that might be created if you expand all the nodes....hope it doesn't reach the maximum limit possible to view in a layout
