I have an State Hyperlink in the report wherein if i click California in the first row i should see only city Los Angeles and if i click second row California, then i should see only City San Francisco.

Issue:

When i click california state irrespective 1st or 2nd Hyperlink then for that state both cities are showing anytime.

    Hi,

It does show you the right cities when you click on California as both San Francisco and Los Angeles are within California.

What happens when you click on Texas? and how do you want it to be?.

    Thanks,

    Jothi

    • There is another way of showing your analysis

      1. Apply break on State and from the properties to show Merge ( that way you will not see duplicate state Names)

      2. Create another report that shows Cities with a section on State - This would be your detailed report and when the user clicks on State within Summary report it will direct them to Cities detailed report.

Hope you have got those Prerequisites already. or else you have State and City filters as a prompt defined within Query Panel or Give them another option to change State and City on the city by Input Control (Go with Cascading prompts if you have universe).

      Thanks,

      Jothi
