I just came arround a similar issue and recognized that the maximum length of the body (sBody) is 1140 characters. When trying to open the mail client with a larger body I got an error in the network tab.

Maybe yours is the same problem.

what do you expect to happen?
The function does not send an e-mail, but only calls the e-mail client installed on the device. This client must then send the message.
