I have S4 HANA Environment and have little confusion about Analytics on S4 HANA

What is the difference between SAP Analytic Application on fiori and SAP BI Reports on S4 HANA ?

When you we need Analytic Application on fiori and SAP BI reports ( Dashboards ) ?

Who and how to develop SAP Analytic Application and what data does it use Information models OR CDS ?

Hello Said,

You are right, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics comes with a set of Virtual Data Models (VDM) based on Core Data Services (CDS) views. These come out of the box and do not require a separate installation but can be extended with your own CDS views.

S/4HANA Embedded Analytics allow you to perform real-time analytics on your transnational data. If you needed Enterprise Data Warehouseing (EDW) functionality to e.g. analyse historical data, consolidate data from multiple sources or have time dependant master data, that is when BW comes into play.
