We have the following user requirement:
In an input ready query we need a field for the user to enter a description of the planning line item. We created an infoobject with the master text unchecked. However, when I run the query in from the WAD I get the error that no sid exists.
Does anyone have any idea on how we can solve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Dan
Hello,
in BPS it was possible to do it in this way. In BI-IP it is actually not possible.
We have created an OSS-Message for that and hope to get a soloution.

Eckhard,
Thanks for the reply.
Here is something we found out recently. We were able to create a variable tied to an infoobject that is not checked for master data. If we create a new row in the input ready query and add text to the row via the input variable the text is saved to the real time infocube. But if you try to add text directly in a new row via the input ready query in the browser the text does not save. We pointed out to sap that they have a code problem and seems to be a simple fix. IF it works one way it should work the other.
Waiting on SAP's respone right now.
Thxs,
Dan
I will try.
Create a planning function on your agg level based on the function type Copy.
Next, create a row in the from-values and to-values for copying section of the planning function. Add your infoobject in the from and to columns. Note: the infoobject should NOT have the master data flag checked! Click on the 'To Change' button and select input help option for your infoobject. Under Selection View select Variables and create a variable for the infoobject. Complete the planning sequence and add the planning function to your WAD template. make sure you have the Row/column selection set to Multiple in the properties web item parameters for your input ready query. Execute the template. Select a column to copy and your variable for text should appear. Type in your text and you should have a new row to plan on in the template.
Hope this explanation is clear enough. We are on SPS 11, PL1.
