mapping

Hi,

I have to do a mapping in file to idoc scenario where we have two flags in input file.

Both the flags can have 2 possible values. Based upon their value combination, 3 fields in idoc have to be populated with different values. So, with these 2 flags, I will get 4 different combination of values. Is it possible to do it in graphical mapping? If not, what other possibilities are there and how efficient are they..If possible, Can someone post an example also.

Thanks,

    Hi Jassi,

yes your req can be done in grapichal mapping......just select your source nodes..generate a UDF for it......in the UDF, according to your values, generate the required value and send the output to the IDOC fields.

    Thanks,

    Hi jassi,

The best way is to write a udf where u can hc switch stmt with 4 cases related to the combination. In each case u can set the value of the 3 fields of Idoc.

Probaly, u can also do t using the satndard If - else funtions...but tht will be difficlt and i guess time consming.

    Hi Jassi,

the task is quite easy. You dont need an UDF, three IFs are enough

    IF A=1 IF B=1..branch1

    ...........else......branch2

    else.....IF B=1..branch3

    ...........else .....branch4
