Label Web Item

As I attempt to use the web item "Label", it appears to do nothing more than put the description of the characteristic. For example, if I choose to show a characteristic (technical name 0IS_CLAIM ) then it shows the description "Claim Number" in the label.

I was expecting to see the actual claim number value in the label, not just the long text of the characteristic. Is this working correctly?

If that is indeed what it is suppose to do then I have a follow up question:

How can I show an individual value ( like a claim number ) in the header. Keep in mind, this is not a text element. It is not a variable. I want to run a query that brings back a single claim number and show that value in the header...not only in the table.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks for the responses.

Are there any good examples of how a Single Document item might help me with this?

I am not using a variable for the claim number. I am running the query based upon some other criteria and claim number is just a part of the result set. The way this query is created there can only be one claim number returned, so I am looking to display that in the header.

Thanks for your help.

Jeff,

how are you searching for the claim number ? do you have a variable in some query for the template ?

If yes did you try using the affected data provider option if available...
