Basically, i use RWB (Runtime Workbench) for analyse Adapter engine logs (Java Stack), and SXMB_MONI analyse Integration engine logs (Abap Stack).

Unfortunately, you need use thouse aplications in develop time, in production i use only RWB becouse in production the log in Integration Engine is off.

Hi Suresh ,

You have already got so many differences for SXMB_MONI and RWB.

To know more abot it, have a look at this blog by Prasad.<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/003de490-0201-0010-68a4-bf7a1e1fd3a5">Monitoring in SAP XI</a>

Hi,

so if you see a message as successfully processed in SXMB_MONI it does not mean that the message reached the receiver successfully. It just means that all pipeline steps were executed without an error. But if the message got stuck in the adapter (for whatever reason) you will only see that in RWB. So to get a general overview about messages with error it is easier to use RWB as you can see the integration engine there as well

Hi,

RWB can be used to monitor the components, messages, alerts and performance of XI thru a java based interface.

Using sxmb_Mon you can get a list of all the processed messages. Clicking on a message which is in error will provide help in understanding why the message failed.

hi suresh ,

the difference between them is that in SXMB_moni

u will be able to c the errors only of the intergration engine and not of the adapters.

it is like a brother transaction to "message monitoring " in RWB.

but in , RWB (in the java stack) it gives us the option to monitor errors in AE(adapterengine ) and integration engine.

hope that is clear 4 u .

cheers,

Hi,

- SXMB_MONI = ABAP Stack = integration engine (=heart of XI)

- RWB = JAVA (Adapters & Adapter Framework)

Suresh,

SXMB_MONI tells you whether you have any error in the xi pipeline steps. But it will not tell you if you have any errors on the adapters.

So for checking any errors on the adapters and the errors for communicaiton channels we need to go with RWB.

This is main basisc difference between this two.
