Hi,
I am in BI7.0.
I am getting a problem when extracting data....
Extractor 0ASSET_AFAB_ATTR does not return data (0 records) from RSA3 extraction process, but the base table has data.
A load into BI is failing with 0 records with error message "Error in source system RSM340".
We are in BI 7.0 SP10 NW 2004s.
I looked into ROOSOURCE table, the entry exists with active version for 0ASSET_AFAB_ATTR.
I tried deleting 0ASSET_AFAB_ATTR and reactivating the datasource. And this does not seem to work.
Also, looked into OSS note 612273. It is not of much help, since I have entries in the ROOSOURCE table for 0ASSET_AFAB_ATTR.
I understand that there is sequence of data requests that we need to follow up in extraction process.
Sequence of Data Requests
For summarization of line items by master record characteristics (such as cost center) during posting of ODS objects to InfoCubes, master data must already exist prior to extraction of transaction data. The following sequence must therefore be kept to during extraction:
0FI_GL_4
General Ledger: line items (if required)
0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT
Asset subnumber (flexible updating)
0ASSET_AFAB
Depreciation area real or derived
then the transaction data
0FI_AA_11
FIAA : transactions and / or
0FI_AA_12
Posted depreciations (period values)
I am trying to do a full load and assume that this sequence should not matter.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!!

hi,
if it is delta source then you nhave to first fill up the setup table for the corresponding source and then use rsa3 extractor. and then initilallize and then do delta load.
