Can anubody tell me what is Bill Of Material, and in which context we use this.Points will be awarded .

A Bill of Materials(BOM) describes different components that together create a product.

In SAP, BOM is related mainly to Production Planning.

It consists of the item category, material no., quantity,... used in production.
