Hi
The Reports which deals with Day-to-Day activities, we can say as Real Time Reports. Ex.: Alcohol Consumption Report,Warehouse Display Report etc.
The Reports which takes the assumtion data into consideration while designing, we can say near real time reports.
Ex: Reports for Interface to download sap data etc.

Hi Sreedhar,
I dont think there is anything like "near real time". There is real time system and non real time system.
Some people call some applications as near real time. For example Business objects application are some times confused to be near real time as it picks up all the latest data for business people but usually there is a delay of 24 hrs.
I dont think they are real time system but people call it "near real time".
Cheers
