Raja,

Thru PFCG when ever you add Tcodes to the role by Menu Tab , the default authorization objects associated with the tcode get added in the authorizations tab with SAP standard Field values if you retain them as is they will become standard, if you change them they will become change , If SAP has not maintained some the field values giving the user to fill , if you fill them they will become maintainted

Lastly if you add Auth. objects in Authorizations Tab they will become Manually . Let me know if you still have questions.

Hi Raja,

Once u add a Tcode in a role it automatically picks up a few Authorization OBJECTS.For Eg f SM04 is added to a role then the object S_TCODE and

S_ADMI_FCD are automatically assigned to this role. Both the values are already filled up by SAP with SM04 and PADM automatically. So Green in colour and are always STANDARD.

In other cases like many other objects the fields are partially filled. Like in case if S_TABU_DIS is included then at times the valuesd 02,03 are assigned by SAP to ACTVT field and then we need to fill the auth group. If u fill it with some value as per your requirment then it changes to CHANGED.

If u have added any object manually to the role then it shows MANUAL.

Hope its clear now.

Sri

Hi Raja,

Please find the definitions:

Standard: All field values in the subordinate levels of the hierarchy are unchanged from the SAP defaults (i.e, when you add a transaction in a role, the default objects and their field values which are brought from SU24 are indicated as " Standard".)

Changed: The proposed value for at least one field in the subordinate levels of the hierarchy has been changed from the SAP default value(i.e., All changes made to “Standard” authorizations (except for blank authorizations) are indicated as “Changed”)

Maintained: At least one field in the subordinate levels of the hierarchy was empty by default and has since been filled with a value.

Manual: You maintained at least one authorization in the subordinate hierarchy levels manually (it was not proposed by the Profile Generator)

Note: 1) PG will NOT update any of the “Manual” authorization objects or authorizations. i.e., these objects and authorizations will remain in the Activity Group until they are manually removed.

2) Similar to “Manual” authorizations, PG will NOT update any of the “Changed” authorizations. i.e., these authorizations will remain in the Activity Group until they are manually removed.

can we change the Manual status to standard

SAP note 113290 provides all information you need.

>can we change the Manual status to standard< -->strange idea. Delete the manual one if you do not need it.

Hi Bernhard,

There is definitely something wrong with the date stamps of these posts. This is an ancient post from 2008 or so which appears as if it is all posted today.

Perhaps is running one of his points adjustment scripts again? 🙂

Cheers,

Julius
