Hello Gurus,
Following SAP recommandation in note 41715 we activate batch @ material level.
Still we do not want to manage batch in one plant.
SAP gives recommandation regarding that point explaining to use generic batchs in the non batch managed plant.
We are then trying to achieve automatic batch determination during intercompany stock transfer. For that we set-up batch determination in IM based on the 1 step movement we use (645 / 101). We made sure batch determination procedure are assigned and records are done with selection classifications. Outbound Delivery is created however when we post movement we get error saying "The batches are not defined for delivery item 000010". We tried to use @ SD level, however it does not fit our requirement as batch is copied from issuing movement to receiving movement.
Would anybody have a detailled procedure to set-up SAP recommadation ? Should we use a different stock movement for the posting ?
Thanks in advance for your help,
I doubt that this general advice had a one-step stock transfer in mind.
It was more related to the simple and straight forward processes of a receipt against purchase order or production order, where you just enter for instance batch 1 (it is even possible to use a batch determination for that, but honestly.... doing several clicks in MIGO compared to enter a single digit number is not really a nice process)
